Acquisitions

  • Our lawyers regularly assist investors in real estate acquisitions in Romania regarding various types of projects, from agricultural and forestry lands to intra-muros lands and buildings.
  • We carry out due diligence on the targeted real estates and draft and negotiate the acquisition documents.

Property Development and Construction

  • Our lawyers advise on the legal feasibility of development projects, carry out due diligence and provide specific legal advice on regulatory issues, urban planning and environmental protection procedures.

Leases & Co-ownership

Representative highlights:
  • Advising the Romanian subsidiary of a leading international tyres manufacturer on the acquisition of a 200,000 sqm plot of land for expanding its production capacity in Romania.
  • Advising the world’s largest producer of cleaning products, in connection with a lease agreement of office premises under construction, concluded with a leading player in the office segment, amounting to EUR 1,761,821.
  • Advising a French investor on the acquisition of 1,300 hectares of agricultural land for the production of cereals and of the related storage and processing facilities in Romania.
  • Assisting a leading international player in the energy sector, in all steps of the acquisition of a wind farm. We are assisting on a complex transaction structuring, performing the due diligence, providing advice on regulatory matters and we shall further draft the contractual documentation and assist with the closing formalities.
  • Assisting  a major international player in the energy sector with the acquisition of a photovoltaic park.  After carrying out a complex due diligence and providing legal advice on specific regulatory matters, we are now drafting and negotiating the contractual documentation for the deal.
  • Assisting Vangelys Danube S.R.L a lead player in the field of sanitary and plumbing equipment, in carrying out a construction project for modifying and fitting-out an industrial space. Our firm was particularly involved in preparing the documentation and assisting the client in obtaining the building permit for carrying out the required works.
  • Advising a global player in the automotive industry, on the negotiation of two (2) build-to-fit lease agreements for the opening: (i) in Râmnicu – Vâlcea of a 12,000 sqm and (ii) in the nearby of Pitesti of a 13,500 sqm new production facilities for automotive spare parts;
  • Advising a global player in the automotive industry on the drafting and negotiation of the lease agreements for the opening of three new industrial units in Romania.
  • Advising a leading hypermarket operator on the contractual documentation required for the lease of new hypermarket premises outside Bucharest, within the context of the second development phase of a Bucharest retail park it anchors, and for the development of a new retail park outside Bucharest on properties owned by its group. The firm further advised on the contractual documentation and the legal due diligence review required regarding the Bucharest property on which the building of a hypermarket is envisaged.

  • Advising a specialised forestry investment fund on the acquisition of several forestry plots, with a surface area of over 5,000 hectares, following complex legal due diligence reviews covering restitution issues, including forestry management plans, contracts with forestry units, environmental issues and post-acquisition regulatory matters.
  • Advising a leading hypermarket operator on the contractual documentation required for the lease of new hypermarket premises and for the construction of a new retail park outside Bucharest.
